UMAP is the premier international conference for researchers and practitioners working on systems that adapt to their individual users, or to groups of users, and collect and represent information about users for this purpose. UMAP is the successor to the biennial User Modeling and Adaptive Hypermedia conferences that were merged in 2009. It is organized under the auspices of User Modeling Inc.
The 19th edition, UMAP 2011, will be held at the Centre Cultural la Mercè in the city of Girona, Spain.
Click on the following links for the tentative conference program and the list of accepted papers. We are happy to announce our keynote speakers Paul Resnick and Ricardo Baeza-Yates.
UMAP 2011 is now supported by Conference Navigator 3 (CN3), a conference support platform that provides scheduling, bookmarking, and social linking.
The conference spans a wide scope of topics related to user modeling and personalization, including tailoring of search results, recommending products, Web usage mining and collaborative filtering. Please see the more detailed listing of conference topics. There are many good reasons for submitting to UMAP 2011 and to participate at the conference. |
